Lola's Lake Waconia Half Marathon

Holy crap it's hot.
I look happy. I was not.

High today of 95. Yeesh. Got to my buddy's a good hour or so before we had to be at the start only a couple miles from his house. Felt decent - not great, not bad - but no pain from the HM a week before.

Parking was cake, we walked to the line and were ready to go pretty quick. I took off as I tend to do, and paid for it towards the end. This one felt loooooong. I was hating life the 2nd half of the run. A good portion of this run was in the open with no breeze and the sun beating down. Felt very sluggish and tired, still need to work on fueling properly. From now on I'll be bringing a GU of some sort for occasions like this.

Ended up finishing in 2:04, so about 8 minutes slower than last weeks, but a very different race - hillier, hotter and hey, I just ran one of these 6 days ago. By the end, I already can't wait for the next one.

Bryann and I hydrating after like mofos.
