It's right outside our front door - how could we not?
A couple days before this I did a 15 miler which is my PR for distance. Probably not smart but I wasn't in pain anywhere. That said, didn't feel too great - again I need to fuel better - but I managed to kick out a PR for 5K - 22:43. Not anything special by any means, but always nice to get better numbers. Felt very good to pass a lot of the people who took off the first mile, some looking like seasoned pros. I know it means nothing in the long run, but it's a nice ego boost to see the improvements. I really feel like with proper fueling and desire, I could crush my PR. We'll see how it goes.
Also ran with a guy that was at the Mud Run last year. Got much closer to him in the standings this time around. Good to see that improvement cause that guy is a friggin' beast.
Honestly though, I'm feeling less love for these short events, I want to go long. Endurance is clearly my game.
No pics from this event, so here's a kitty.
